The Day The Earth Stood Still is a contemporary remake of the 1951 classic science-fiction film of the same name. Starring Keanu Reeves who plays Klaatu and Jennifer Connolly. The film is directed by Scott Derrickson and updates the Cold War themes of man against man to concerns of man against nature. Klaatu is an alien whose arrival on our planet causes global upheaval, scientist and governments race to unravel the mystery of the visitors appearance.
