Pixie Lott is an English singer, songwriter, actress and dancer. Signed to Mercury Records in the UK, and Interscope in the US, her first single "Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)", was released for download on 7 June 2009 and officially on 8 June, going straight to Number 1 in the UK on 14 June. She is scheduled to release an album Turn It Up on 7 September 2009; and is set to release an album with Electronic Arts in simlish for The Sims 3.

White Lies perform their forthcoming single, To Lose My Life, live at KOKO in London on 26 November 2008. To Lose My Life will be in January 2009, the CD format will also feature a Filthy Dukes remix. White Lies album, also entitled To Lose My Life, will also be released in January 2009. White Lies have been touring as support to Glasvegas and played the XFM Winter Wonderland at the Brixton Academy on 2 December.

Franz Ferdinand play their first single from the new upcoming album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand'; Ulysses, in Rotterdam, WATT on 27/11 2008. There was no shortage of new post-punk inspired outfits emerging in the early 2000's. However, Scottish band Franz Ferdinand had a slightly different take on things, bearing the marked influence of countrymen Josef K and Orange Juice as well as usual suspects like the Fall and Gang of Four.
