Diana Vickers - Once
Published 19 March 10 5:37 PM |

The single comes from new album Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree, which features a track Remake Me & You, co-written by Ellie Goulding, and other tracks written with Cathy Dennis. Vickers signed a record deal last year, but was given permission to put recording her album on hold so she could star in the West End production of Little Voice, for which she received rave reviews. No doubt the Lancashire singer is hoping to emulate the success of fellow 2008 X Factor alumni Alexandra Burke and JLS...

Soul singer Alexandra Burke emerged victorious as the winner of the fifth season of the U.K. reality show The X-Factor, three years after being rejected by the same programme. Thanks to a stunning duet with Beyonce and a soulful rendition of the Leonard Cohen classic "Hallelujah," Burke beat fellow finalists JLS and Eoghan Quigg to become the show's second female winner. "Hallelujah," her debut single, became the Christmas number one single just one week later, selling 576...

The X-Factor sensations follow their chart-topping single 'Beat Again' with this debut album. Their roguish good looks and cheeky nature (the name stands for "Jack The Lad Swing") have seen them swooned over by teenage girls across the nation and this set of catchy pop tracks, infused with RnB and hip-hop, looks set to catapult them to even greater levels of fame. Produced by Syco stable regular Steve Mac, it includes the aforementioned 'Beat Again' as well as second single...

Girls Aloud - Untouchable
Published 1 May 9 4:58 PM |

Unusually for a group catapulted into the nation's consciousness via a reality TV/talent contest (2002's 'Popstars: The Rivals'), Girls Aloud managed to combine phenomenal single and album chart success with genuine critical acclaim. Their collaborations with the Xenomania production team have been particularly lauded, especially on CHEMISTRY (2005). As well as a mainstay of the charts, the five girls were also regular fixtures in the gossip columns, fuelled primarily by Cheryl Cole's...
