New Mountain Biking venue in Essex confirmed for the London 2012 Games

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) today confirmed that subject to final contract negotiations, the venue for the Mountain Biking events will be at Hadleigh Farm, Essex. IOC approves changes to Park venues

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved four design changes to the Olympic Park to enhance usage after 2012. Fencing, which was to be held in a temporary venue on the Olympic Park, will move into ExCeL London – already a Games venue. IOC Coordination Commission visit underway

The International Olympic Committee’s Coordination Commission (CoCom) has started a three day visit to London for an update on plans and progress on the London 2012 Games. This morning CoCom visited the Olympic Park site and Wembley Stadium, the venue for the Football finals in 2012.
