New Designs for Handball Arena

Designs were unveiled today for a 'simple, efficient and flexible' London 2012 Handball Arena that will become a new multi-sports facility in legacy. The new designs were included in the planning application for the venue which was submitted today. The Handball Arena will be in the west of the Olympic Park, to the south of the Hockey Centre, within four minutes of the Olympic Village. World class team appointed to develop media centre for London 2012 and local employment legacy

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has selected a consortium of Carillion and Igloo to deliver the International Broadcast Centre and Main Press Centre (IBC/MPC) for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and its legacy development. Local children’s artwork displayed around Olympic Park

ODA Chief Executive David Higgins praised children and young people from east London yesterday for their artwork which they unveiled on hoardings on the Hackney Wick towpath. Local residents consulted on plans for Main Press Centre and International Broadcast Centre

Local residents are being encouraged to attend an Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) local consultation event and drop-in sessions to find out more about the plans for the International Broadcast Centre and Main Press Centre (IBC/MPC) for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
