A new exhibit at ZSL London Zoo (Zoological Society London) opens just in time for the Easter holidays this year.

The Animal Adventure area has been built on the site of the world's first children's zoo and allows kids to get up close and personal with a range of different animals.

Created by world-class designers who enlisted the help of children for ideas and testing, this £2.3 million exhibit offers a wonderful experience for young and old alike.

Animal Adventure will bring kids as young as three face-to-face with red pandas, prairie dogs, porcupines and a host of other interesting animals.

  • Tree Zone is a climbing adventure area where you can scale climbing frames to meet a family of coatis and their cape crested porcupine neighbours
  • Root Zone allows children to tunnel underground to see how aardvarks and other subterranean animals live
  • Splash Zone teaches kids about wildlife in the water
  • Touch Zone gives you the chance to get close enough to pat alpacas as well as resident llamas, Perry and Beegee.
  • ZSL London Zoo is located centrally, in North London's Regent's Park. It has over 750 species of animal, from the smallest monkey to the tall giraffe.
