The castle contains a museum that recreates how parts of the castle would have been used during different periods of its history. The castle is reputed to be haunted and one room even has a re-enactment of a haunting.Castle entrance reached via steep footpath or 65 steps. Full tour involves many stairs. Wheelchair access to ground floor only (Courtyard, Dungeon, Great Hall and Norman Exhibition) at reduced rate with companion free. Wheelchair available. Guide dogs welcome.
