Strathblane Country House is an idyllic getaway. It is only 20 minutes from the centre of Glasgow, the most populated city in Scotland, yet one feels transported to a magical place in the Scottish Countryside....
The house's very private 10 acres is home to many a wild deer, rabbit and wild flower. We boast our own falconry, which no country house should be without, and our backdrop is the Campsie Fells, Dumgoyne and Ben Lomond.
On our very doorstep is Ardinning Loch ( once part of the house's grounds) Muirhouse Moore and Mugdock Country Park. Thanks to the careful protection of the Scottish Wildlife Trust, all three stunning attractions have been comparatively undisturbed by man for many years.
A stone's throw away is Milngavie and the start of the famous West Highland Way. The walk is 95 miles ( 152km) leading one to the heart of the Scottish Highlands. For the less energetic, a 30minute drive can end at the romantic banks and braes of Loch Lomond.
